Zeth Tutupoly

October 11, 1940 — November 15, 2022

Our beloved father, grandfather,  great grandfather and husband Zeth Habel Tutupoly was born on October 11, 1940 in Ouw, Saparua, Maluku, Indonesia, to Octovianus Tutupoly and Elizabeth Sahetapy. He was the third child of four children, three boys and one girl. In 1952, he went to Cisarua, Bandung and attended the Indonesian Union Seminary following the footsteps of his older brother Domingus Tutupoly. He graduated in 1956 and went to Taman Sari, Bandung   pursuing a career in Nursing, graduating in 1959. He worked in the hospital until 1961 and was transferred to head the Kiaracondong   clinic. In 1967, he was transferred to Solo, Jawa tengah to start the new clinic and he was there for a year before he was transferred again to the clinic in Cimindi, Bandung. In 1970, he decided to explore jobs separate from the SDA institutions. He started working for Bechtel  corporation in Irian for several years. After Irian he took his family to Cilacap, Jawa tengah and began working for Fluor Corporation. He then brought the family back to Bandung and traveled alone to Sorowako, Sulawesi Selatan. In 1976, he went to Ahwas, Iran,         continued working for the same corporation until all foreigners were forced to leave the country.

In 1979, he started his own clinic in Bandung and later on in Subang, Jawa Barat. In 1990, he migrated to the United States with his wife and daughter to follow his three children. Wherever he went, he was      always involved with the church activities. While he was in Indonesia, he was the head elder at Kiaracondong SDA for many years and while he was in Southern California, he was an active member at the Azusa SDA church. In 1994, after our family moved to Sacramento, along with other Indonesians, they started the Sacramento Indonesian SDA company with the late Pastor Yoram Tumbarante as the first pastor.

He was enjoying his retirement until he became very sick and had to deal with his chronic illnesses for the last four years. He rested comfortably on November 15, 2022 with his wife, children, sister in law Deetje Tutupoly, on his side and all the support from his beloved church family.
