Willora Bell Day of Citrus Heights, CA, passed away on May 17, 2026 at the age of 94. She was born on August 10, 1931 to Cecil and Myrtle Foutch in Washington State, eventually moving to Oklahoma and then California. She was the oldest of 12 children and is survived by one sister, Linda Preston of Kansas City, Kansas. She is the mother of Barbara Renouf of Payson, AZ, Gloria Beine (deceased), Judy Taylor of Clearlake, CA, and Edward Day (Tina) of Fresno, CA. She leaves behind 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 2 great great-granddaughters, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She worked 40 years at Del Monte Cannery in San Jose, CA, working in various positions, but was most proud of being a fork-lift driver for over 20 of those years. After retirement she moved to Citrus Heights, and has attended Pioneer Baptist Church for 25 years.
She also worked tirelessly for the VFW Auxiliary becoming a life-time member serving in different leadership positions, including President of her Post. She was also a member of the Military Order of the Cootie Auxiliary (M.O.C.A.) as a Grand President of the State of California. She loved visiting and helping at VA Hospitals.
She will be missed by many family, friends, and neighbors.
