A love of music permeated his soul, and he intoned his fine tenor voice in quartets, church choirs and at home where his joy was to hear his family sing together harmonically, filling the house with beautiful music.

He blessed the young, the aged, the needy and downtrodden with creativity and love unfeigned. Boyd and Diane supported each other in the many dramatic and photographic church events they produced to build faith. They served a mission in Palmyra, New York and in the Church History Museum in Salt Lake City where he photographed art and historical holdings for the church.
Boyd cared for Diane as she suffered with Alzheimerâs disease until her death in 2009. Afterward, he embarked on the adventure of a lifetime, photographing 63 US National Parks.
