William Charles Alger passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025. He was 76 years old. He is survived by his wife, Linda, the lights of his life, daughter Elizabeth (Beth), son-in-law, Mauricio, and son Chase, and cherished friends Steve (Alina), Ken (Lela) and Charley and Sandy.
Will grew up in his beloved Chico, California. He graduated from Chico High School and CSU-Chico. He earned a master's degree in social work from CSU-Sacramento, an accomplishment for which he was very proud. He enjoyed a storied career with Sacramento County Juvenile Probation where he was surrounded by amazing co-workers, many of whom are treasured friends. He was also well respected by his charges.
Will would be troubled to know that we are sad and grieving his passing. He would want us to remember and cherish our happy memories of his distinct, contagious laugh, and his love of football, fantasy football, Chico, Hawaii and body building. He would tell us to live our best lives and never put off pursuing our dreams and desires.
