Dad lived an amazing life.  His goal was to reach 100 years…and he did!!
Born in Pittsburgh, Pa., attended West View H.S. and entered the Army in 1943.  He served in the 346 Signal Company Wing (attached to the 9th Air Force).  On June 5, 1944, he turned 21 years old on a Troop ship headed for France.  His 2 years of duty took him through N. Africa, Rome-Arno, N. & S. France, Central Europe and Rhineland.  In 1948, he married Alvilda Roleen Pearson, and in 1949 had his only child (Daughter) Alicia.  In 1956, we moved to S. California.  He worked as a Computer Operator for 25 years in the banking industry and for Honeywell.  In 2019, he moved from Mira Loma to Sacramento and spent his remaining years with Alicia.  He loved Bingo, Bowling, Camping, Golfing and Baseball.... “GO GIANTS & PIRATES”!  His last several milestone Birthdays were celebrated at Sam’s Town, Las Vegas.  If he couldn’t be found playing Keno, he’d be at the Sports Book betting on the horses….”COME ON 8 AND 3.”!!!
He was a Past Master Mason and a proud member of the Masonic Lodge for 56 years.
He was a loving & devoted husband to Mom, who precedes him in death, married for 68 years.
Pre-deceased family are parents Reginald Claude & Elizabeth May (Walpole) Marrison and brothers’ Paul Marrison and Frank Marrison.
He will be sadly missed by the families of (niece) Patty Ann (Marrison) Nicola, S.C., (nephews) Dale Marrison , Pa., and Chad Marrison, Me., as well as many dear friends.
My Dad was the kindest, loving and most gentle giving man one could ever hope to meet.  He never left the house without wearing his WWII Veteran cap.  Whenever people approached and thanked him for his service, he always replied, “My pleasure, I’m sure”.
He was a true Patriot and my rock.
I love him and will miss him dearly.
He is survived by his daughter, Alicia May (Marrison) Hart.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Nov. 8, 2023 at 10am.
