Weilian (Linda) Li
April 28, 2026
Weilian (Linda) Li, age 73, peacefully entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on April 28, 2026, in Elk Grove, California.
Linda was a woman of extraordinary light, characterized by her bright, cheerful, and infectious personality. Born on September 10, 1953, in Zhanjiang, China, Linda’s life was defined by a profound dedication to nurturing others. In China, she devoted her career to the education of young children, serving with distinction as both a kindergarten teacher and principal. Her patience and wisdom shaped countless young lives before she retired and dedicated herself fully to serving the Lord.
Linda was baptized at the Praise Assembly of Hong Kong on August 13, 2004. A loyal servant of God, she was known as a woman of delicate and intentional prayer. Her faith was not just a belief, but a melody; she was a dedicated member of the church choir and found her greatest earthly joy in singing praises to the Lord. Whether in the sanctuary or at home, her voice was a constant testament to her devotion.
From 2008 onward, Linda served as the heart of her church’s caring program, dedicating her time to visiting those in need and warmly welcoming new members into the fold. Her presence was a comfort to the lonely and a guiding hand to the stranger; she truly lived the commandment to love one’s neighbor as oneself. In 2019, she immigrated to the United States to begin a beautiful new chapter with her family.
To be around Linda was to be swept up in her enthusiasm for life. She was a naturally happy and positive person who took great delight in the world around her. An active spirit, she loved playing ping-pong, dancing, and participating in sports. Whether she was singing her heart out in the choir or bringing a competitive but joyful energy to a ping-pong match, she had a rare gift for bringing happiness to everyone she met.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Guohua Chen; her daughter, Fiona Chen-Luu; and her beloved grandchild, Abigail Luu, who will all forever remember her cheerful voice and the grace with which she lived each day.
A celebration of Linda’s life will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the chapel of East Lawn Elk Grove Memorial Park & Mortuary, 9189 East Stockton Boulevard, Elk Grove, CA 95624. Interment will follow the service.
