Wally Espino Magdangal

August 23, 1950 — May 30, 2026

Elk Grove, California

Pastor Wally was a man who loved Christ Jesus his Savior and Lord. In his first born-again prayer he asked the Lord to “use me any way you want to, send me anywhere you wish, and I will serve you with great passion all the days of my life.” The Lord God answered Pastor Wally’s prayer in ways beyond anything he could have ever imagined.

He pastored an underground church in Saudi Arabia which led to him becoming a prisoner sentenced to death for his faith in Jesus. The Almighty God allowed Pastor Wally to experience His glory and His miraculous power in Saudi Arabia and ultimately Pastor Wally was set free. He traveled the world sharing the testimony that Christ Jesus gave him.

The Lord gave Pastor Wally a heart for people, for the nations, for individuals. He passionately shared the gospel of good news whether he was speaking in front of tens of thousands or speaking to one individual. He served the Lord whether in plenty or in want, whether in sickness or in health. Time and time again, God proved His faithfulness to Pastor Wally.

If Pastor Wally’s wife and daughter could describe him in a few words they would say that he was oh so loving, quick to forgive, enjoyed life (especially life in Christ), fun loving, playful and funny, always finding ways to make people glad, kind hearted, readily available to serve others. There are not enough words to truly describe him as a husband, father, grandfather, pastor and friend.

Our hearts ache in missing Pastor Wally but the sadness of knowing that he is absent from the body doesn’t compare to the joy in knowing that he is now and forever present with the Lord.
