Virginia "Jen" Anne Paine

Born in Muskogee, OK to Merdin and Kathleen Lambert.

Married to Ward N. Paine on August 1, 1950 and they settled in Sacramento, CA where they raised their family. Ward David was born in 1956 and Jodi Lee followed in 1958. Virginia was a homemaker and school volunteer at Mission Ave Elementary and ran the library for years. When David and Jodi went out on their own, Jen went to work at Woman’s World clothing store and went on to work at Kid-E-Korral, where she became the manager.

She retired to take care of Ward. After he passed away in 2005, she helped her granddaughter, Kaci take care of her oldest three children. Her home was always open to her family, and she said no one in her family would ever go without a place to live. Jodi and Kaci lived with Ward and Jen, she offered her home to Kaci and her kids, and when Kaci’s son, Brad, needed a place to stay, she welcomed him also. Her love for her family was everything.

Jen was preceded in death by her parents, brother and her beloved husband, Ward.

She is survived by her son, Ward David and his wife Denise, her daughter Jodi Lee and husband Jeff, her beloved great niece Mary Cardiff and her husband Rene. As well as her 6 grandchildren; Kaci, Christopher, Joshua, Matt, Theresa and Mike. And her 13 great grandchildren; Bradley, Anna, Samantha, Clay, Charlotte, Jessica, Audrey, Colin, Faye, David, Thomas, Cade and Zeke.
