Born to Estanislaus Ongjoco and Clarita Parducho on April 5, 1953 in Manila, Philippines, Vince (or more affectionately known simply as “Tito Bert”) passed away peacefully on June 9, 2024 surrounded by family at Mercy General Hospital. Tito Bert spent 18 years working for Hilton Hotels on the island of Guam before moving his family to Los Angeles, California. He then spent the next 30 years raising a family and working for Alhambra Unified School District before retiring in 2013.
Tito Bert is survived by his wife of 47 years, Evelyn; three sons Vincent (Joahnne), Verlyn (Ashley), and Vince (Lorena) who are all proud to call him “Pop”; and the greatest pride and joys of his life, his eight grandchildren: Lana, Kylie, Karoline, Caleb, Logan, Isabella, Noah, and Naomi. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Gregorio & Maria Paz Ongjoco, of Diamond Bar, California; sister, Valentina Siriban, of Manila, Philippines; sisters-in-law Evelyn R. Ongjoco of Baldwin Park, California, and Virginia Ongjoco, of Manila, Philippines; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews located throughout the United States, the Philippines, and Australia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers Estanislaus, Jr., Inocencio, and Bernabe.
