Vickie Ann Dodds

“Vickie Ann Dodds (Ellis), born January 28, 1958 passed away peacefully on March 15, 2023. Vickie remained in Sacramento, California throughout her life, building a family, close network of friends, and a successful career with the State of California. Although she left us too soon, the love she gave her family and friends will last us a lifetime. For those that knew her, we find peace in the memories we hold preciously in our hearts. Her constant generosity and kindness towards people and animals is her legacy, which we will all strive to carry on in her honor. Her laugh will be heard in our dreams and remind us of the fun we had and the playfulness she exuded. She was the fun aunt who let her nieces and nephews have a food fight in her house. She was the dedicated daughter and sister who was always there when life got hard. She was the granddaughter who held her grandmas hand till the end. She was the friend who would do anything and everything to support you. She was the lady at the store whose smile brightened your day. She was the mom who kept us warm and safe and loved unconditionally. She will always have her husband’s whole heart.

She joined her mother, Arleen Ellis, grandmother, Ruby Hamilton, sister, Judy Ellis, and beloved nephew, Jeremy Guill in heaven. She is survived by her devoted husband, Mike Dodds, daughters, Ashley and Katie, grandchildren Travis, Lucy and Maya, father, Spencer Ellis, and brothers, Steven and Michael Ellis.
