Vasilios K. Antonopoulos

Vasilios Antonopoulos was born in 1934 in a small village outside of Kalamata, Greece. In the 1960’s he came to America for a better life, where he met and married Chrysoula Gergiannakis. He worked for the State of California while they raised two sons: Dean (Stacey) and Jim (Stacy). He was a loving grandfather to four grandchildren: Vasilios, Theodore, Anthony and Zoe. Vasilios was a founding member of St. Katherine's Greek Orthodox Church in Elk Grove, CA and volunteered every year he was able to for the continued success of the church. Vasilios passed away on August 18, 2022 at the age of 88 years old. He is survived by his children and grandchildren. May his memory be eternal.
