Vân Thủy Nguyễn, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and the beloved matriarch of her family, was born on July 17, 1947, in Nha Trang, Vietnam. She built a life defined by courage, sacrifice, and unconditional love for her family.
She is survived by her children, Vũ (Danny) Nguyễn, Hanh (Trena) Nguyễn, Kennedy Nguyễn, and Judy Nguyễn, her younger brother Ngọc Nguyễn, sister Nga Nguyễn, niece Lynda Vo, and her beloved 13 grandchildren, along with many extended family members and friends who loved her deeply.
In pursuit of a better life for her children, Vân bravely crossed the ocean as a refugee from Nha Trang, Vietnam. Through immense hardship and determination, she rebuilt a life in a new country, guided by resilience and an unbreakable commitment to her family. She was the heart of her family – the matriarch, the caretaker, and the quiet strength that held everyone together.
As a single mother of six, Vân devoted her life to raising her children with resilience, compassion, and independence. Her sacrifices and strength shaped not only her children’s lives, but also the lives of her grandchildren, who carry forward the values she instilled in them.
She lived life fiercely, with joy and unmistakable style. She loved singing, dancing, cooking, traveling, and most of all, being surrounded by her family. Her laughter, warmth, and spirit filled every room she entered.
Má, Bà Ngoại, Bà Nội, Chị ba – you will be deeply missed and forever loved. Please continue to watch over our family from above alongside your beloved eldest daughter, Kimanh Nguyễn, and your baby boy, Tony Nguyễn.
Your strength carried our family across oceans and through generations. Your love will continue to guide us, and your legacy will live on in every child and grandchild who carries your spirit forward.
