Troy Dick passed away peacefully at home on March 13th, 2022 with his wife by his side. He fought a long hard battle with colon cancer and his strength throughout the battle was amazing. He is now at peace with no pain and is in paradise alongside both his parents and grandparents. Troy was born in Sacramento, CA on October 13th, 1975 and lived in Sacramento his whole life. He was a member of the Air Force junior ROTC in high school, and he loved visiting Ocean City, NJ during the summertime as a teenager. Troy worked for the California Department of Conservation for nearly 15 years as a Research Data Analyst where he was a pivotal part of the farmland mapping team. He loved his job and his coworkers. In his spare time Troy collected fire badges (from both current and no longer established fire houses), he also loved competing in the cookie baking competition at the annual California State Fair. He won numerous first place ribbons over the years, and he won his pride and joy which was a best of class ribbon in 2017 for his now infamous cinnamon bun bar cookie(they were delicious)! Troy also enjoyed anything involving trains, bowling, mini golf and Pokémon! Troy is survived by his wife Michelle and a large group of loving family and friends. Troy was kind, funny, smart, adventurous and never missed an opportunity to make someone laugh. He was an amazing man, a true friend, and a loving soulmate/husband and he will be greatly missed by many.
