Theresa Ann Silva King was born in Plymouth Mass to Mary and Justin Silva on March 20, 1937. She was the youngest of 14 children, Charles, Grace, Innocence, Jeanette, Rita, Manuel, Irene, Justin, Antone, Roy, Georgianna, Joseph, and Robert. She was raised on a farm were they worked hard to grow their own crops and raised livestock. Her Mother Mary made fresh loaves of bread everyday while cooking bountiful meals as she taught her daughters. Theresa and her Siblings attended Church every Sunday however if they had to walk in the snow one of the brothers would preach outside on the way to Church. When asked by their Mother how was Church, of course they would reply, good.
At the age of 15 Theresa, her parents and some of her younger siblings moved to California. Her famous saying was “if I had not moved to California I could have been Head Majorette.” She attended McClatchy High School when she met the Love of her life Orland King. They were married January 29, 1955 and later bore 5 children.
Theresa worked various jobs including Domestic positions and the State of California however her true gift was the most Amazing Homemaker. She had many talents she was passionate about gardening sewing, crocheting cooking baking interior decorating event decorating crafts drawing dancing writing florist to name a few. One of her most famous desserts she made was her pies. Sorry Marie Calendars had nothing on her.
Theresa loved God with all her heart and would keep you laughing with her wit and sense of humor. She was a member of St Anne’s Catholic Church , Capital Christian Center and Harvest Church. She loved people and continually expressed it in so many ways. She gave of herself daily and never met a stranger. Theresa helped with every family or friend special event in numerous capacities. Her Florist, baking, decorating, sewing and cooking skills were regularly utilized
Her Love for family, especially her children and grandchildren was like no other. Theresa always made sure her family was Prayed up.She Constantly spoke life into each one and made sure they knew how special they were. She was proceeded in death by Husband Orland and son Orland Jr. She is survived by children Brian Sr, Sherri Colston (Bruce), Lori Allen (Mark), and Tiffany, 13 grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
