Theresa Gail (Hooker) Hartman, age 61, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2024 in Antelope, CA after recently being diagnosed with heart failure.
Theresa was born on September 19, 1963 in Lilbourn, Missouri to Arthur Eugene (Gene) and Barbara Mae Hooker. During her childhood, her family traveled extensively, living in various states and countries such as Missouri, Morocco, and California due to her father’s service in the Navy. In 1975, Gene retired from the Navy in San Diego, CA and moved the family to Sacramento, CA where Theresa resided for 49 years.
Theresa was a loving daughter, sister, mother, partner, friend, caregiver, and grandma to her grand pup, Ben. She was a very strong, thoughtful, and caring person that took care of everyone around her. Throughout her life, she enjoyed camping, listening to music, traveling, watching classic movies, researching genealogy, taking care of her pets, and spending time with family and friends. In November 2022, she retired after 28 years of state service. During her retirement, she enjoyed trips to the Oregon coast with Paul, gardening, watching Ben, going to the “spa,” craft workshops with her daughter, walking around the neighborhood, and relaxing at home.
She is survived by her daughter, Jenna Hartman; son-in-law Jordan Zakaria; brother Randy Hooker; partner Paul Lyle; several family members, friends, and neighbors.
