It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our father Terence Boylan. He was 89 years old and lived an independent, healthy life and only had a short illness. He was born in Culfaddah, County Sligo, Ireland. He was one of five children (John Boylan, Peter Boylan, Edward Boylan and Kathleen Higgins) raised on the family farm and is only survived by his sister Kathleen. Terence emigrated at twenty years of age to the United States through Boston Harbor in 1955. He lived for a few years in Boston, Massachusetts before ultimately settling in San Francisco, California (his favorite city in the world). Terence worked in the dairy business most of his life and was a professional truck driver with the Teamsters. He married Patricia Ann Connor in 1960 and raised a family in the Bay Area. Terence was a much beloved father to AnnMarie, Kevin (deceased) and Keith and grandfather to Matthew, Mara and Kenneth. After retiring as a professional truck driver, Terence went on to work until he was 81 doing various driving jobs such as working for an auction house. Terence was a great storyteller and had traveled the world with Taiwan being one of his favorite locales. He was a great dancer and a fitness buff and continued to be a gym rat until well into his late 80’s. We are all thankful for the many years that we had with him and for his long and healthy life. He will be greatly missed.
