Obituary for Tasha Laniece (Campbell) Richman
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Tasha Laniece Richman (née Campbell) on October 6, 2024, in Sacramento, California. Born on February 25, 1978, in Sacramento to Glenna Jean Leonard and Thomas James Campbell, Tasha grew up in South Sacramento and Rancho Cordova, California. From a young age, she developed a love of music and the arts, especially supporting local music bands and attending church while serving her community.
Tasha pursued studies in the psychiatric field, focusing on crisis populations and individuals with intellectual disabilities. Tasha began her working journey as a teenager at Target. She started her career as an on-call rehabilitation counselor in mental health, but her drive and compassion led her to explore new roles. She later trained as a medical assistant and optician, eventually becoming a lead optician and managing her optical center in Solano County. Her career was a testament to her commitment to helping others, and she frequently engaged in philanthropic work for underserved communities, including advocating for individuals with disabilities and veterans.
On May 10, 1997, Tasha married Robert Richman in a beautiful ceremony under The Twisted Olive Trees at the Sacramento Capitol Rose Garden. Together, they built a life filled with love, raising four wonderful sons and sharing 27 years of marriage.
A woman of deep faith, Tasha found joy in church and spirituality. She was passionate about creating natural products—making her own soaps, essential oils, candles, and homeopathic remedies. An adventurous spirit, she loved traveling, often taking weekend trips to explore waterfalls and mountains. As a gourmet enthusiast, she delighted in trying new culinary experiences, frequently discovering unique kitchen tools and recipes to bring home.
Tasha was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Glenna Jean Leonard. She is survived by her husband, Robert Francis Richman, and her sons, Robert Jean Richman, Alec Lee Richman, Bryant Glenn Richman, and Ian Clayton Richman.
Tasha will be remembered for her love, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her family. As a devoted mother and wife, her absence leaves a profound void in our hearts. She will be deeply missed, yet her spirit, kindness, and strength live on in the lives of those she touched.
