On the day September 15, 1977 the parents of La Famosa Tania B. Grande received a special gift. She was one of six children born in Cantón Las Ventanas de San Salvador en El Paisnal, El Salvador. Tania came to the United States at 11 years old in 1988 along with her mother, brother and sisters. They resided in Oakland Ca, where she also received all of her early education. She attended Garfield Elementary, Roosevelt Middle School, and Oakland High School. As a teen Tania left the house at an early age of 15. Leaving the house this early she was forced to become the strong independent woman she's known as today. Working and going to school she managed to pave the way for herself. Soon she would be going ten times harder after she received the unexpected news of being pregnant even though she was told by professionals she was never going to be able to conceive children. On May 20, 1998 what she would have called the best blessing in her life was her first born son Edwin Ernesto Grande. If you knew Tania you knew she was ready to go to war over her baby or protect him by any means. For a while it was the two of them until August 1, 2010 another miracle Jonathan Che Grande was brought into their world.
Tania was hardworking and determined no matter what, to the point where she was able to obtain her Bachelors and Masterâs in Criminology all while being a full time single mother of two. Tania Beatriz was a woman of wonders who managed to do a variety of occupations in her 43 years on this Earth. Her most recent career was for social work in Contra Costa County where she excelled. Before that she did carpentry, managed apartment units, worked with youth in the juvenile system and more. She held several licenses such as a notary license, real estate license for the state of California, and even a certificate as an ordained minister. Tania was a very skilled woman, you name it she did it!
Quién era Tania B. Grande? Besides being una madre soltera fuerte y luchadora.
Tania was everything and more. If you knew her you know her energy was kind and real. She could even read your energy too, from random strangers to one of her boys having a bad day. You asked her something and she would tell you the truth. Her words were genuine just like her soul. She was always helping others whether they deserved it or not. Her kids always came first and she truly believed they were blessings put here on this earth, but truly she was the biggest blessing anyone can ask for. Tania was such a happy person. She loved dancing and singing. You take her out somewhere and you would surely see her feet tapping and body moving if music was flowing through her ears. No matter the time of day she was blasting her cumbia at home especially when she cooked. She loved taking pictures! She was always capturing memories every time she and her boys were out. Tania will remain a beloved mother. She poured all the love she had in her heart into her sons. She will remain a hero and role model to her two corazóns Edwin, Jonathan, and anyone else who looked up to her. She was a blessing to everyone. Her soul was beautiful just like her smile and she was always happy. When you remember her, picture her smiling and know that she wanted everyone to celebrate her. Picture her laugh, her high pitched laugh and know that she wanted everyone to have a good time. She didn't want anyone crying, she wanted everyone partying. So take this time to celebrate who she was and who she always will be in our hearts because she will be missed indefinitely.
