Steven Crawford

August 22, 1957 — August 21, 2024

Steven Crawford, 66, passed away on August 21, 2024 after bravely facing off against cancer until it took his life. Steve grew up in Starke, Florida, then later moved to Pensacola, where he met and married his loving and devoted wife, Mary Ann. Together, they shared 44 remarkable years, building a beautiful life with their child, Sam.

Steve built his career as an Information Technology Analyst at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He also held various roles at Brown and Root, Honeywell, and Rhodia. After retiring, Steve found joy in “flipping” houses across the country. He loved saltwater fishing, going to the movies, and collecting and playing guitar. Steve will be forever remembered for his honesty; his integrity - not just in his business, but in every moment of his life - was absolute. His caring nature was heartening and inspiring, and his sharp sense of humor regularly left us all laughing with warmth in our hearts. At the time of his death, Steve was living in Sacramento with his loving family.

Steve had asked that his immediate family gather for his interment. The interment will be held at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery on September 3, 2024, at 3 p.m. to celebrate his life, followed by an Irish Wake at Jamison's Irish Pub at 4:00. pm. PT If you are unable to attend, please be ready to lift a glass of your favorite beverage in his honor that evening. If you would like to honor Steve's life, consider donating to MD Anderson Cancer Center or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in his name.
