Steve Giranis

Born in Alexandria Egypt to Christos and Angella Tziranis, both natives of Greece. Steve served in the Greek Royal Navy after high school. Steve came to this country when he was 24 years old and met the love of his life Toula in Millbrae, CA. They  were married for 53 years, until Toula passed in 2012. They were both active members of the Greek Orthodox communities both in San Francisco and Sacramento.

He enjoyed playing soccer, boxing, hunting, fishing, wood working and cooking. Steve was 90 years old and survived by his two brothers from Greece, Gus and John, and his loving sons Chris (Debbie), Gus (Gorgeann), and his five grandchildren Nicole, Alex, Steve, George and Pete. Preceded in death by his parents and loving wife Toula which he has missed dearly. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

A Trisagion service will be held at East Lawn Mortuary 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento on Monday, April 25th from 6-7:30pm. Funeral services will be held at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church 600 Alhambra Blvd., Sacramento on Tuesday April 26th at 12:00pm. Burial will be private with the family only at East Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church Building Fund, 600 Alhambra Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95816.
