Stephen Allen Ray

Stephen Allen Ray was born on May 19th, 1956 at Hillside hospital in San Diego. Steve lived with his family in the San Diego area until he graduated from San Diego high school in 1974.

Steve was very adventurous, after high school he hitched hiked across the united states and parts of Canada by himself. Taking in the sites and meeting new and interesting people along the way. All the while keeping in touch with his mother through out his journey.

He then joined his uncle in Sacramento and was inducted into the heat and frost insulators union, local 16 at age 18. He worked the valley area for 36 years then retired.

He met Kimberly and they married in 1986. They had two children Tim and Matt. Steve enjoyed helping with little league baseball, as a coach and player agent. He enjoyed golf and played in several golf tournaments for charities. Another love was for deep sea fishing for tuna in San Deigo. But nothing could beat his #1 hobby, fantasy football. His vast knowledge was incomparable to most. He played in fantasy leagues for 41yrs.

Steve was proceeded in death by his mother Barbara Cheney and his step father Harry Cheney.

He is survived by his wife Kimberley Ray of 37 years. His children Timothy and Matthew Ray. His sister Debra Cave and Laurie lea along with his cousin Mike Grill, Paula Contreras and Carla Coccoran. Nieces Lizzy Palmer, Michelle Sisney and nephews Jason Sisney, Steve Stoll Jr. and Daniel and Dustin White.

Steve will be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor, as well as his passion for football.
