In Loving Memory of Stephanie Powells
November 23, 1966 – May 14, ,2026
We celebrate the life of Stephanie Powells, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and woman of faith. Stephanie was born on November 23, 1966, in Memphis Tennessee. She then relocated to Detroit Michigan where she spent her childhood surrounded by family, friends, and the community she loved.
Stephanie was raised alongside her older sister, Cheryl, and younger brother, Charles "Chuck." She attended Roosevelt Elementary School, Durfee Middle School, and later graduated from Detroit Central High School. Throughout her youth, she built lifelong friendships and created memories that would remain close to her heart throughout her life.
After high school, life led Stephanie on many journeys. She eventually relocated to California at the age of 19, where she continued building a life centered on family, faith, and love. Stephanie was a proud and devoted mother to her two children, Isaiah and Jasmine, and a loving grandmother to her cherished granddaughter, Arabia, who brought immense joy to her life.
Known for her quiet strength, warm spirit, and gentle sense of humor, Stephanie had a unique way of making others feel valued and appreciated. Though naturally introverted, she cherished meaningful conversations and treasured the relationships she formed throughout her life. Her laughter was contagious, and those fortunate enough to know her will forever remember her kindness, loyalty, and unwavering authenticity.
Stephanie's faith in God was a guiding force throughout her life. She lived with integrity, discipline, and compassion, always striving to do what was right. She was thoughtful, organized, dependable, and steadfast in her beliefs. Her quiet nature never diminished the impact she had on others. Rather, it was through her actions, her love, and her consistency that she touched so many lives.
Those who knew Stephanie understood that her love was genuine and sincere. She did not seek attention or recognition, yet her presence brought comfort and strength to those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, resilience, friendship, and unconditional love that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Stephanie is lovingly remembered by her children, Isaiah and Jasmine; her granddaughter, Arabia; her sister, Cheryl; her brother, Charles "Chuck"; extended family members; lifelong friends; classmates; and all whose lives were enriched by knowing her.
Though she is no longer with us in body, her love, wisdom, and beautiful spirit will remain in our hearts forever.
Forever Loved. Forever Missed. Forever Remembered. ❤️
