Our mother, Sheree Bisher, was born on June 15th, 1940 in Butte, Montana and passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on May 23rd, 2026.
Sheree was dedicated to her German Shorthaired Pointer Roxy, her family, and her friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence DeDycker and Fern Vanisko of Butte, Montana, and the love of her life and husband of 36 years, Robert Bisher. She is survived by her children, Cary Anderson (Trish) and Kimberly Stangl (Jim); Grandchildren, Ryan Stangl (Hannah), Chad Anderson, and Brooke Anderson; Brothers, Phil DeDycker (Patsy), Rick DeDycker (Joan), and Frank Vanisko; Sister in law, Shirley Rodriguez and many nieces and nephews.
Sheree loved her job and retired from the State of California Water Resources/Regional Water Quality Control Board as a Staff Manager after 50 years of service. She cherished the lifelong friends she made during her career. Sheree enjoyed many years of camping, boating, fishing, and trips to Lake Tahoe, Hawaii, and the ocean with her husband, family, and friends. She also loved tending to her yard, listening to music, and most importantly, tacos and margaritas from Tres Hermanas in Sacramento. She was a loyal NASCAR # 5 Kyle Larson fan and loved attending Sacramento Kings basketball games with her family.
More than anything, Sheree loved her family. She found joy in every moment spent together. Her steady unconditional love is stitched into everyday memories such as favorite songs, shared meals, and long conversations. The family she built, nurtured, and loved so fiercely is her greatest legacy. She passed on a level of love, compassion, and honesty that formed an unbreakable glue to bind her family forever. She reminds us to observe the trees, pick up rocks, hear the ocean, feel the breeze, take it all in, and be grateful.
She will live on forever in our hearts. Please honor her memory by sharing love and laughter with those closest to you. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband at East Lawn in Elk Grove, California in a private ceremony. In lieu of a traditional funeral, we will be holding a Celebration of Life in honor of Sheree's wishes, details to be announced.
