Sharon Kay Kirk passed on June 12, 2023, after a courageous battle with Breast Cancer.
She was born May 10, 1939 to John “Jack” Orr Williamson and Alma Ruth Weir in Oklahoma City, OK. She graduated from Design School in Chicago upon completion of high school. Her career in Interior Design was her passion, and she ultimately retired from Scofield's Fine Furnishing in Sacramento CA in 1990.
Ms. Kirk was married to Melvin A. Kirk who retired from the USAF and from Burners Furniture in Sacramento. They were married for almost 50 years when Mel passed in 2014. Ms. Kirk is preceded in death by her beloved husband Mel, her parents, her sister Shirley Marie Morgan, and her step-son Michael Kirk. She is survived by her step-son William A. Kirk, Gary L. Kirk, her daughter-in-law Barbara Kirk, a step Grandson by marriage, Michael McNicolas.
Ms. Kirk had a love for her family, dear friends, animals, camping, beautiful blooms, music, great food, and politics. She will be sincerely missed by her many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at East Lawn Memorial, Folsom Blvd., prior to her entombment at Resthaven Cemetery in Oklahoma City where her beloved husband rests.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sacramento SPCA or to Wounded Warriors.
