Sharlo M. Smith
Sharlo Marie Smith, age 78, peacefully passed away on July 18, 2021 in Concord, CA. Sharlo was born in Minot, ND on January 31, 1943. Her spirit will be carried on through daughter, Joni Renee McCoy of Oakley, and son, Daniel Scott Dias, of Denver, CO. Brother, Willian Gordon Smith of Vallejo. Grandsons, Joseph Roger McCoy, of Martinez, Joshua Allen McCoy, of Oakley and Andrew Scott Dias of MccLellanville, SC. Daughter in-laws, Jessica Rae McCoy, of Martinez and DaâSha Dias, of Mcclellanville, SC. Great Grandchildren, Ady Rae McCoy, Joseph Robert McCoy and Truitt Roger McCoy, of Martinez. YaâLeigha Dias, YaâOnnie Dias, ZaâLynnya Dias, ZaâLyssa Dias, of Denver, CO. Nieces and Nephews of CA, NY and WA State.
Our Beloved Sharlo was proceeded in death by Mother, Geraldine Homsey of Galt, Father, Gordon Allen Smith of Modesto, Stepfather, Philip R. Homsey of Galt, sister, Kathryn Lee Bloom, of Carmichael, niece, Nicole Michelle Smith, of Vallejo and adored pet âTrevorâ.
As a child her family relocated to Modesto, California where she spent most of her childhood. She then moved to WA State where she began seeking an education in Business. She was dedicated and took tremendous pride in her profession, which began at the Tally Corporation in Auburn, WA. After many years of residing in WA she moved back to California where she took a lead role in the development of many start up computer software companies. Sharlo retired from Hewlett-Packard as a contract negotiator in 2010.
Sharlo delighted in having Sunday dinners and playing games with her family. She was known for her infectious laugh, her insatiable love of chocolate, listening to Elvis music, watching the hummingbirds, her long-time friendships and her fondness for her dog Trevor. She spent many Sunday mornings at church embracing the sermon whether she was intently listening or on occasion, taking a brief nap. She took solace in the love of the Lord.
Our Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Auntie Jo, and friend will be missed dearly. We love you Lar.
Family and friends are invited to attend both the visitation on Sunday, August 1st 2 PM to 5 PM and the funeral services, Monday, August 2nd at 2 PM. Both services will be held at East Lawn Mortuary, 9189 East Stockton Boulevard Elk Grove, CA 95624
