Devoted Father, Grandfather, Great-grandfather, and Husband

Our beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather was tragically taken from us on the morning of June 11, 2024. He was lost less than 100 days after the death of his wife of 65 years, Bat Su. Their love for each other was one of enduring devotion and partnership. Through all the trials and tribulations, they remained by each other's side, with their bond growing stronger with each year. From their time together, we were able to witness the beauty of love that overcame time and challenges. Their marriage was proof of loyalty, respect, and the overwhelming happiness of sharing one's life with another. From raising a family and enduring the challenges of leaving their home country, they navigated life's journey side by side. His devotion to both his wife and children will forever be an inspiration to our family.

Born on December 15, 1942, Sau would soon become the patriarch of our family. His life story was one filled with hope and uncertainty. Leaving behind everything that was familiar to him, embarked on the journey to America in order to provide a better life for his children. Through sheer grit, Sau built a home that was filled with love and laughter. He worked tirelessly to make sure his children had every opportunity to succeed. He set an example of how through determination and hard work, we could all achieve our dreams. Besides material things, Sau provided his family with irreplaceable life lessons. Sau instilled in his children an appreciation for traditions and family bonds, despite the time or distance between us. No matter how near or far you were, Sau provided the family with guidance, wisdom, and support. All the children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren grew up knowing that no matter the challneges we faced, Sau would be there.

After dedicating many years of his life to providing for his family and watching it grow, Sau was able to slow down and enjoy the little things of life. He would spend countless hours of the week going on bike rides, enjoying the time to unwind, and be in his own silence. In the garden, he was able to nurture many different plants, even sharing the fruits of his labor with the family. Traveling and experiencing new things also brought joy to Sau later in life, in which he ventured far and wide, exploring new cultures and tasting exotic cuisines. He was able to create new and exciting memories that became treasured times with those with him. Even in retirement Sau could not stop caring for his family. Family gatherings were something that brought Sau immense happiness. No matter if it be birthdays, graduations, weddings, or just a family dinner, Sau was there in the company of loved ones. He showered his grandchildren and great grandchildren with affection, leaving an impression that will surely never be forgotten.

It's impossible to name all the great things Sau has done in his life, but he will always be there in our memories. Sau may have physically left this world, but his spirit will live on amongst his family and friends. He will be there in the stories we share, the lessons we learned from him, and the love that we share for each other. May you find peace knowing that your life was a beacon of hope and inspiration to us all. As you are reunited with your beloved wife in eternal peace, know that we all live on for you. Until we meet again.
