Rose Lily Taguba Dizon
On Wednesday, May 29th, at the age of 87, Rose Lily went to Our Lord Jesus Christ. Rose Lily Cabreros Taguba was born May 4, 1937, in Aparri, Cagayan, to Leon and Leonarda Taguba, the second eldest of nine children. She graduated high school from Cagayan Valley Institute, earned her degree from De Ocampo Memorial College, in Manila, and worked as an Optician for several years.
She met Restituto Dizon in Betis, Guagua and were then married on April 4, 1965. Lily was the “Love of Resty’s life” and spent fifty-nine years together. Together they have one child, Raymund. A wife of a Navy husband, she took care of the family while Resty was deployed at sea, at times, for six to nine months. They settled down in Fairfield, California in 1978 where they lived for forty-two years, before moving to The Oars Senior Living in October of 2020.
Lily was a homemaker, for most of her life, after working as an Optician, in the Philippines, but went on to work for companies Systron-Donner in Concord, California, Racal Vadic in Suisun City, California and American Home Food in Vacaville, California.
She was preceded in passing by her parents, Leon and Leonarda, brothers Leon Jr, Mariano, Edgardo and sisters Lourdes and Alelie. Rose Lily is survived by her husband Restituto, son Ray and daughter-in-law Marivic, her grandchildren Emmanuel and Lourdes, brother Wilfredo and sisters Estrella and Consuelo.
The family of Lily, is grateful for her care providers, at The Oars Senior Living, and nursing staff of Vitas Hospice Care.
Her Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 13 at 10am at East Lawn, East Sacramento, 4300 Folsom Boulevard, Sacramento.
