Ronald Edward Rocha died March 16, 2022 in Sacramento. He was 77 years old. Cause of death was kidney failure. Ron was born June 8, 1944 in Washington, DC to Margaret Jean (Pariseau) Rocha and Jose Jesus Rocha. When he was 8, the family moved to Whittier, California where he grew up with his siblings. After studying electrical engineering at UCLA, Ron had a 37-year career at Hughes Aircraft, where he worked on naval guided missile systems. Ron was a proud girl dad, and raised his four daughters with their mother at their family home in Santa Monica, California. In those years, he especially loved to garden, raise backyard chickens, skateboard, and surf. He is survived by his daughters April Rocha, Christie (John Petrakis) Rocha, Leanne Rocha, and Marie Rocha, and by his two grandsons: Alexander Kendall and Henry Rocha-Smith. He is survived also by his siblings: Natalie (Clyde) Hebbron, Julia Occhipinti, Gil Rocha and Maria (Jon) Simpson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was a unique, bright, kind, curious, and loving spirit who adored his daughters & grandsons. This legacy of love and caring is treasured by them all.
