Roger Franklyn Reid Jr., 89, of Sacramento, California, previously a long time resident of Tucson, Arizona, passes away on March 7th, 2024. He was born on December 9th, 1934 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts to Roger Franklyn Reid and Clarice Wetherbee Reid.
He served in the U.S. Air Force until he retired as MSGT in 1974. He worked for the 22nd Baptist church in Tucson until he began working for the City of Tucson and retired in 1998. He volunteered at St. Joseph Hospital many years until moving to Sacramento in 2013. He was a member of the Vintage Park Community Church in Sacramento and the American Legion.
He is survived by his children, June Beck (Alan Beck) of Sacramento, California; Judy Worley (Clay Worley) ofRainer, Washington, Danny Reid of Spokane, Washington, Michael Reid of Henderson, Nevada, 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, his brother Robert Reid of Hubbardston, Massachusetts, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years Louise Stewart Reid, who previously passed in 2021, daughter Donna Reid, his parents, and siblings Joyce Duke, Fred Reid, and Betty Watson.
