Roberta Lynn Rohde passed peacefully on February 3, 2025, at the age of 63. Roberta was born in Sacramento on March 11, 1961, to Richard H. Rohde Jr. and Janet L.(Gray) Rohde. Roberta was predeceased by her grandparents Richard H. Rohde Sr., Ann Pearl (Seman) Rohde, Walter Earl Gray, Winifred L. (Oldstead) Gray Sheil, and Paul Raymond Sheil.
Roberta will be dearly missed by her mother, Janet, and loving step father, Albert Sprock. She was the beloved sister of Robin Rohde Cleveland and Rhonda Rohde Howard, and a loving aunt to Blaire Cleveland Krochak, Megan Cleveland Paige, Katie Howard Davis, and Jenifer Howard. Roberta was also a great-aunt to seven wonderful nieces and nephews and will be sadly missed by them all.
A kind and compassionate soul, Roberta always had a smile to share and was deeply interested in the lives of others. After graduation from C.K. McClatchy High School in 1980, and attending several years of study at Sacramento City and Consumnes River colleges, Roberta was hired in a temporary position with the California Dental Association that turned into a full-time career. She worked there for over 25 years before retiring in 2014. She found much joy in her work and formed lasting bonds with her colleagues. Roberta’s vibrant personality shone especially brightly during Halloween, when she loved dressing up with her team to spread joy and laughter at work.
During her youth, Roberta cherished family camping and fishing trips, creating memories that would last a lifetime. Her love for creativity extended to crocheting, art, and cooking. She had several cats during her lifetime and took great joy in caring for them and fostering loving bonds. Roberta also found peace and pleasure in taking walks with friends, enjoying the simple beauty of nature and the company of friends.
In her retirement Roberta lived in a senior community in downtown Sacramento where she had many friends and was active in the community. She enjoyed a beautiful view of the state capitol from her apartment and balcony. She especially loved it when the Sacramento Kings won a game and would “Light The Beam” right outside her window!
Roberta will be remembered for her loving spirit, her unwavering kindness, and her ability to make everyone around her feel special. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
