Robert (Bobby) Thomas Jr. was removed by God from his earthy home in California on December 4, 2023.
Robert was born on November 15, 1942 in Lexington, KY to the late Robert Thomas Sr. and Sallie Belle McGuire Thomas. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, brother Larry O. Thomas and sister Ellen L. Douglas, along with twin boy grandchildren, Kash Aiden and Blaze Carter Thomas, grandparents and other relatives. Robert attended elementary and secondary school in Fayette Co, KY, and graduated from Old Dunbar High School in 1961. He was a member of the Historic Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church where he was baptized in 1954.
Robert joined the United States Air Force on graduating school and soon was posted to France. He also did a tour in Germany, Vietnam (twice) and England (twice). Robert served the USAF for 28 years, retiring on May 5, 1989 at the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. While serving in England the first time, he met his wife Wendy, who he kept in touch with for three years while stationed at the base in California and after that tour was over, he returned to England and on July 22, 1981, they married. The Following year their much wanted baby girl was born, Rebecca, who in time added five grandchildren to their family-Keegan Austin, Alexis (Lexi) Skyler, Kash/Blaze (Logan), and lastly Treasure.
