Bob was born in Veteran, Wyoming to Harold and Lena Snook. He was preceded in death by Betty, his loving wife of 49 years. Bob was the beloved father of sons Bob (Pam), Dan (Terri) and daughter Kim Schoonmaker (Nate). He was a devoted grandpa to Christopher, Kelly, Kelsey, Lauren, Megan, Jamie, and Michael and great-grandpapa to Jaice, Hudson, and Lena.
Bob will always be remembered and loved for his devotion to his family and the joy his grandkids and great-grandkids brought him.
A dedicated ballplayer, Bob played catcher for the 1949 American Legion Wyoming State Champions. His passion for playing and coaching baseball continued well into his 80s.
Bob also served as a proud member of Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 7th Marines in the early 1950s, honorably completing his combat duties on the front lines of Korea in 1952.
Family and friends are invited to the viewing on March 26, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at East Lawn Cemetery, 9189 E. Stockton Blvd, Elk Grove, and the graveside service on Friday March 27, 2026 at 1:00 pm. A celebration of life will be held following the service at the Holiday Inn Express, 9175 W. Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove
