Robert (Amos) Sabater Salamanca Sr.

Robert Sr. (Amos) was born December 7, 1956 in Cabugao, Ilocos Sur. He lived in the Philippines with his proud parents Benjamin and Teresa Salamanca with his four siblings, Claudio, Alice, Brenda, and Laurence. He moved to Mountain View, CA with his cousins in 1972. Shortly after arriving in California, he enlisted in the United States Army in 1973 and graduated in 1974. Amos proudly served his county as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army until he was honorably discharged from an injury. Amos and Betty met in Santa Clara, CA through a family friend. Not too long after dating they unreservedly married on August 17, 1977. They shared 45 years of their lives together.  They proudly raised their two sons, Jeffrey and Jr. While raising his children, he worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier. Amos became a grandfather in 2005. He loved all three of his grandchildren. Amos is survived by his wife, Betty and his two sons, Jeffrey with wife Giselle and Robert Jr., along with his three grandchildren, Maddison, Jerico, and Jaelyn and his four grand-pets Cookie, Hiro, Ziggy and Raider.  He will be missed dearly.
