Richard John Padilla

Richard J. Padilla, our adored father and grandfather, peacefully entered into rest in Sacramento on September 29, 2023, at 86 years old.  Richard is now reunited in heaven with Carol, his wife of 43 years.  Richard was born in Oroville, raised in West Sacramento, and called Sacramento home with Carol and their children.  Richard was a beloved father to Curt Padilla (Christina), Cyndi Babby (Wayne) and Caryn Argenio (Ken).  Richard was an amazing grandfather to Derek, Brendan, Colton and Caelynn, with whom they each shared a special and loving relationship.  He will be sadly missed and always hold a place in our hearts.  Richard is also survived by his sister, Lupe Whitaker, brother, Cecil Padilla, as well as several family members.  Richard was also preceded in death by his parents, Claudio and Mary Padilla.  A viewing will be held Thursday, October 12, 2023, at East Lawn Cemetery, 4300 Folsom Blvd. starting at 11:00 a.m. followed by a graveside service at 12:30 p.m.
