Richard Allen Akers

Richard “Rick” Akers, 65, of Herald, California, passed away on Friday, November 14, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Rick was known for his larger-than-life personality, his generous spirit, and the way he could light up any room he walked into.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cherise; his four sons, Rick Akers Jr., Corey Akers, Dylan Buno, and Brady Buno; and his cherished grandchildren, Ricky, Eli, Julette, and Mason.

Rick had a deep love for his family, as well as a lifelong passion for cars and drag racing. His presence, laughter, and kindness will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
