Reneé Diane Elmore (Reneé Diane Lemire) Obituary

It's with great sadness that we announce that early in the morning on Saturday, March 19, 2022, our mother, Reneé Diane Elmore (maiden name Lemire), has passed due to complications from a stroke. She fought hard until the end and will be missed by her family & friends.

Reneé attended Notre Dame Catholic School and then Pleasant Valley High School where she graduated with the Class of 1969.  She attended beauty school and married, Edward Lewis, with whom she had two children.  

Reneé lead a long career as a Hair Stylist working long hours at the infamous “Gages Hair Salon” in Chico where she enjoyed working with local Chico celebrities, friends & family.  She continued to give the latest hair styles for clients as long as she could because she loved doing it.

Reneé later went back to school to become a Licensed Vocation Nurse (LVN) where she practiced Home Health Nursing caring for patients in Chico and then the Sacramento area.   

Reneé eventually moved from Chico to Sacramento to be closer to her mother and family.  

An avid crafter and artist at heart, she enjoyed drawing, making dolls, sewing, knitting blankets & scarves.

She is survived by her children; Bryor Lewis (Debbie), Ryann Greenberg (Jonathan), Hilary Elmore as well as her eight grand children (Jade, Brooke, Bryor Jr., Ethan, Ava, Conor, Declan, Kylen), and her siblings; Brian, Curtis (Kristen), Rochelle, Mark, Brett (Nancy), and Monique (Scott) who grieve for her loss.  

A memorial for Reneé will be announced during the summer.
