Ramon P. Alday

Ramon Pioquid Alday, Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, “Lolo”, 84, passed away peacefully on October 27th, surrounded by his immediate family.

Ramon was born in the Philippines, and graduated from Far Eastern University. As a civil engineer, Ramon worked on a variety of construction and highway projects, which took him throughout the Philippines, as well as to Saipan and Nigeria.

He was a dedicated husband to his spouse of 42+ years, Amanda, and a loving father to his two daughters, Maria and Kristine; as well as to his son, Allan John. He is survived by all of them.

Ramon often showed his love and caring for others through cooking traditional Filipino dishes. He enjoyed gardening, home improvement projects, and watched boxing videos and action films in his spare time. He was a lifelong learner, embracing laptops, smartphones, and new technologies.

A private funeral will be held November 9th at St. Anthony Church in Sacramento.
