Phuong Luu Hua, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2025, at Bruceville Terrace Medical Clinic. She was 80 years old.
Phuong is survived by her devoted husband, Vien Hua; her children, Minh Hua, Jade Hua, Linh Pressman, and Ha Hua; and five cherished grandchildren.
Born in Saigon, Vietnam, Phuong was a successful businesswoman. In 1979, amid the aftermath of the Vietnam War, she courageously immigrated to the United States with nothing but her family and an unbreakable spirit. In her new home, she became a devoted homemaker, dedicating her life to raising her children and helping care for her grandchildren.
Phuong found joy in her garden, where she tended to a variety of fruit trees and elegant cymbidium orchids. She was a selfless, compassionate woman with a big and kind heart. She gave generously to those less fortunate and was unwavering in her love and support for her family, including her parents and siblings. Her legacy of kindness, resilience, and devotion will never be forgotten.
Phuong will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Services will be held on June 4, 2025, at East Lawn Memorial Park in Elk Grove. Visitation will take place in the chapel from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a burial service at 1:00 PM.
