It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Peggy L. Colvard, who left this world on November 11, 2025, at her home. Peggy was born on August 4, 1949, in Placerville, CA, to Rollie Ramey and Audrey Miles.
For over 40 years, Peggy proudly owned and operated her own bookkeeping and tax preparation business. She was a woman of many joys—chocolate milk, Pepsi, the outdoors, camping, exploring new places, reading mystery novels, baking, and visiting casinos. She adored her dog, Destiny, but above all else, she loved her family and friends with her whole heart.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Colvard, and her sister, Susan Poderzay. She is survived by her sons, Joseph (Melissa) Horvath and James (Crystal) Horvath, as well as her brothers Michael Miles, Timothy Miles, Adelbert Ramey, and Edward Ramey.
Peggy will always be remembered for her kind and gentle soul—pure, loving, and full of light. She was a second mother to all the neighborhood kids; no matter who you were, her door was always open.
Peggy wished for her family to remember her by “the corners you all had,” “the finger alongside my nose,” and most of all, the love she had for each of you. And in true Peggy fashion, she would want to leave you with one final reminder:
“Always remember to be a good little boy.”
