PATRICK M. GLOEB
Pat Gloeb entered into rest at 10:30 A.M. on August 26, 2021 at the age of 91. Pat was born in Omaha, Nebraska to Bill and Elizabeth Gloeb. Pat was an avid private pilot after he served in the United States Navy in the Korean War. Pat married the love of his life, Joann, and they enjoyed 53 years together. Pat and Joann settled in Bellvue, Nebraska to raise their two children, Scott and Mary Beth. They remained in Bellvue for 41 years. During that time, Pat was active with the Knights of Columbus. He and his family supported the annual festival to raise money for the Columbus Fathers.
After semi-retirement, in October 2003, Pat and Joann moved to Folsom, California. This move allowed them to enjoy the climate and the fresh fruits and vegetables that they loved. This move also allowed them to be near their daughter, during their senior years. Folsom is where Pat began a 15 year run at Old Navy doing maintenance. Pat would have worked to the bitter end if it had not been for the pandemic. He was 89 when he was forced to stop working.
Pat successfully managed a TV/electronics store, JoPat Liquor, and rental property at Gloeb Plaza for 30 years. Town and Country TV Repair was Patâs baby. He relished being the primary contractor for Offutt Air Force Base. Pat loved to go to the âundergroundâ at Offutt.
Pat and Joann traveled throughout the United States initially with their two kids on summer road trips and later together across the United States. Pat and Joann had lots of adventures over the years with trips and through the Panama Canal, ESTES Parks, and countless other wonderful places. Maui was one of their favorite getaways with nightly dinner at Mamaâs Fish House.
Pat will be greatly missed by his daughter and her husband Jerry Govier of Citrus Heights, CA; son Scott and wife Amy; grandchildren, Michael, Sam, and Hank Gloeb, step-grandchildren Emily, Sam and A.J. Petrocy of Overland Park, Kansas; Step-granddaughter Chandra and husband Derek, and great step-grandson Andrew. Pat also had many loving relatives throughout Nebraska.
Private family cremation interment services will be held at East Lawn Sierra Hills Memorial Park, Sacramento, California.
