Pam Swindells (Echard) Heinson, 82, of Sacramento, California passed away peacefully in her home on December 6, 2023, just one week shy of her 83rd birthday.
Born December 13, 1940 in Springdale, Pennsylvania to William (Bill) and Mildred (Millie) Swindells, Pam was the oldest of three girls. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Robert (Bob) Heinson and younger sister Sherry Boone.
Pam is survived by her two sons Kyle Echard (daughter-in-law Stacey) and Kurt Echard (& Laura Klein), her partner of 15 years William (Bill) Worlein, sister Darry Lloyd and 4 grandchildren.
Being at the top of her high school sewing class, Pam was recruited for her first job at a Tailor Shop in Springdale, PA. She was a gifted seamstress/tailor and made custom shirts for both of her sons, which they proudly still wear today – with her personalized labels sewn into each shirt with love. In California, she worked as a bookkeeper and real estate investor before retiring in 2004.
A collector of “all things Owl-related” – she had 500+ different owl collectibles displayed throughout her home. When in doubt, her family always knew they could gift her with Owl mementos to make her smile.
An avid crossword puzzle enthusiast, Pam prided herself in regularly finishing the New York Times Crossword puzzles while in her prime. Although she avoided driving on the freeway at all cost, Pam somehow found a way to navigate side streets to get to her destination. And she was so proud that she had never had an accident or speeding ticket during her lifetime.
She will be missed by her family – may she rest in eternal peace.
