In Loving Memory of Pamala Lee Nichols
Pamala Lee Nichols beloved companion, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away December 7th, 2024 at the age of 72. Her sweet spirit and loving heart touched everyone she met, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and joy.
She was known for her generosity, often donating to charities and supporting those in need. Her love for life was evident in her every action—whether taking long walks with her signature ankle weights, sharing her radiant smile, or laughing with the people she loved most.
Her life was not without challenges, but she met them with resilience and hope. Despite her mother leaving her and her siblings at a young age, she continued to send her mom cards for every occasion, every year, holding onto the hope of reconnection. Her heart broke when her brother, Tommy, passed away, as she had helped care for him during their difficult childhood. Yet through these hardships, she became a beacon of love and devotion, raising her two children, Zachary Arnold and Deanna Chasteen, with unwavering care and compassion.
She was a woman with deep faith and conviction, who lived with integrity, a strong sense of responsibility, and a heart full of love.
Later in life, she met the love of her life, Ray, and their years together were filled with happiness, travel, and shared passions—like their love for spending time with friends and NASCAR. They were a beloved presence among friends, often enjoying drinks and laughter at the Shack, a place forever etched with their memories. When Ray passed away in 2018, her heart was broken, but she carried forward with strength and grace.
She had a remarkable ability to light up every room she entered. She was encouraging, independent, and brought out the best in everyone around her. She loved crime shows, cherished time with her family and friends, and always wished for everyone she loved to smile and be safe.
Pamala is survived by her loving sisters, Debbie, Jacque, and Cindy; her cherished children, Zachary Arnold and Deanna Chasteen; her grandchildren, Trevor Arnold, Keloe Tata, and Tinoa Tata; her great-grandchild, Zaine Arnold; and her faithful companion, Roscoe. She is also survived by other family, including countless nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, along with many dear friends and colleagues who loved her deeply.
She was the best mom to her children and a source of love and encouragement to all who knew her. Her beautiful smile, contagious laugh, and vibrant spirit will be greatly missed. Heaven is lucky to have her.
