Odie Cooper Feast, age 87, of Rocklin California, went to be with the Lord, peacefully on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. She was born May 31, 1936, in Robertsdale, Alabama to William and Eva Cooper. Odie was a twin and one of the Cooper’s five children.
Odie grew up in Mobile Alabama. She graduated in 1953 from Murphy High School. She attended church in Mobile where she met her husband Victor Feast. They were married on June 30, 1956. Odie worked for a Title company in Mobile until her first daughter, Donna was born in 1959. In 1961 a second daughter, Jo Ann was born to Victor and Odie. They built a home near family in Mobile and then in 1965, Victor was transferred to Sacramento California with his civilian Air Force employment. Odie planted roots in Fair Oaks while raising her two girls. She was active in church, and always found ways to bless her family.
After Odie’s daughters were older, she began working at a Credit Union where she promoted to Branch Manager. In retirement, Odie enjoyed entertaining, gardening and her grandchildren. Odie had a great sense of humor and was fun to be around.
Odie's Christian faith was central to her life, and she often encouraged others with God's love. She and Victor were active members of churches in Roseville and Rocklin. They would host weekly Bible Studies in their home. Odie had the gift of hospitality and was always exercising that gift.
The greatest joy of Odie’s later life was her grandchildren. Her grandchildren have sweet memories of coke floats, camping, playing in the pool and sleeping over. When Odie had twin grandchildren, she would drive to Dixon 5 days a week for an entire summer to lend a helping hand. She loved her grandchildren and then she loved her great grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna (Gregory) Brock and Jo Ann (Cliff) Shields; five grandchildren, Melissa Henderson, Megan Kopshy, Erin Cimini, Morgan Kujath, Madison Brock; and seven great grandchildren, Victor Kopshy, Michael Kopshy, Charles Kopshy, Levi Henderson, Eleanor Henderson, Ezekiel Kujath and Eden Kujath. Odie was preceded in death by her husband Victor in 2001 and grandson Matthew Brock in 2002.
