MIDDLESWART, LAURA E. Passed away peacefully in Roseville on November 26, 2004. She is survived by her granddaughters Linda Dyann Satterfield, Lisa Eileen Free, Leslie Free Lara; Grandsons Bobby Gene French and Billy Bruce French; Nieces LuAnn Mims, Paula Mims; Nephew John Mims; In-Laws JoAnn Ryan of San Jose, John M. Mims of North Carolina, and Dave and Eve Free of Roseville; 10 great grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren; numerous great nieces and nephews; Loved ones Ms. Rita Castro and family of Roseville, Ms. Pat Vaughn and family of Citrus Heights, Donna Flynn and family of Citrus Heights, Meredith Ford of Roseville, Mr. & Mrs. Ralph Thomas and family of Roseville, Mrs. Carmen Durastanti and family of Hillsborough, CA, and Mrs. Ernie Fincher of Corsicana, TX. She is preceded in death by her husband Eugene Middleswart who was an engineer with Southern Pacific Railroad for many years; Parents William Jesse Compton and Mary Ann Wheat Compton; Son G.E. âSonnyâ French; Daughter Elizabeth French Free Snelling; Brothers Thomas Allen Compton and William Franklin Compton; Sisters Inez Compton and Monnie Ruth Compton Mims.She was a native of Purden, Texas and had resided in Roseville since 1941. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Rose Chapter #292 in Roseville. She was 97 years of age.Friends are welcome for visitation at East Lawn Mortuary, 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento on Tuesday, November 30, 2004 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and to attend services on Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at 2:00 PM, also at East Lawn. Burial at East Lawn Sierra Hills will follow.Remembrances may be made to the Sutter Hospice of Placer County.
