Born April 25th, 1931, in Detroit, Michigan. Passed away at home, surrounded by his loving wife of 47 years, Colleen Lewis Sloan, and his four children, Donna-Renee Carlos, James Sloan, Douglas Sloan and Christopher Sloan, in Citrus Heights, CA on May 9th, 2014.
A devoted husband and father, James is also survived by his brothers Robert and Stewart, his sister Nancie, much loved son-in-law Lawrence Carlos, daughters-in-law Michele, Rachelle and Lissette Sloan and his beloved grandchildren Alex, Neil, Jordyn, Connor, Carson, Braeden, Samuel and Illiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Janet Sloan Favero. PoPo loved baseball, horse racing & most of all, spending time with his family.
Family & friends are invited for visitation at East Lawn Mortuary, 5757 Greenback Ln., Sacramento, CA 95841, on Friday, May 23rd, from 11am-3pm, and for the grave-site service to follow at 3pm.
