passed away at home on July 21, 2004 at the age of 62. Born to J.T. and D. Avenell Ragsdale in Easley, South Carolina on June 5, 1942. Resident of Sacramento and Elk Grove since 1954. Beloved husband of 42 years to Marcia K. (Rousseau) Ragsdale, loving father of Kimberly Phillips (Kevin), Stephanie Kneppel (Brian) and Curtis M. Ragsdale (Felicia) and "Papa Jack" to Lauren Phillips, Erika Phillips, Austin Ragsdale and Savannah Ragsdale. Brother of Joe S. Ragsdale and Linda Ragsdale Share. Jack began his 431/2 year career with Proctor and Gamble at the Sacramento plant, working about 40 years in the Chemical Division. His work was his passion and he had the opportunity to have a short assignment in China in the late 1980's and a 6 year assignment in Malaysia from '91 to '97. Upon returning to the U.S., Jack & Marcia lived in Cincinatti, Ohio for 3 years, returning to Elk Grove in 2000. He enjoyed traveling, expecially overseas with his job. For the past several years he began raising a small herd of beef cattle on their ranch. He was looking forward to retirement and puttering around making improvements on the property. Services will be held July 28, 2004, at 1:00 pm, First Baptist Church of Elk Grove, 8939 E. Stockton Blvd., graveside services immediately following at Franklin Cemetery, Franklin Blvd. & Hood Franklin Road, Elk Grove. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tree of Life Comm.
