Howard L. "Howie" Phelps

Passed away peacefully in Elk Grove February 10, 2005. He was born October 9, 1918 in Utica, New York. Beloved Husband of 49 years to Marian. Dear Father of Pamela E. Phelps, David L. Phelps and his wife Susan and Glenn Phelps. Loving Brother to Clayton Phelps and Donald Phelps. Devoted Grandfather to John-David and his wife Sarah. He is also survived by numberous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a member of Friends of Pitcairn and the Cathay Radio Club. He also was a volunteer at Kaiser South Hospital, the Sacramento Sheriff's Department and the Office of Emergency Services, lending his talents as an Ham Radio Operator. Howie graduated from the University of Hawaii and was an Optician for over 60 years. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service Saturday, February 19, 2005, 2pm at South East Lawn Mortuary, 9189 E. Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove, CA.
