Hilda P. Taverna

TAVERNA, HILDA P., March 18, 1918 - November 9, 2004. Our much loved Mom, Granny, and Great Grandmother has gone to heaven. Hilda was born in Hilo, Hawaii and moved to Sacramento with her family when she was two. She has lived here ever since. She was married to Oscar Taverna (Deceased for 49 years. She was a very active woman, involved in many clubs over the years. She is survived by her son Dennis (Lynn), her daughter Sarah (Dale) Wagerman, her granddaughters: Alexandra (Chris) Haney, Sara (Jason) Jurrens, grandsons: Darren and Gavin Wagerman, great grandchildren Jackson and Sara Haney; and Julia and Michael Riley. Two surviving sisters are Evelyn (Leo) Call and Emily (Rudy) Nobriga, sister in law Jeanne Pires. Preceded in death by her sister Margaret Rose and Brothers: Frank and John Pires. She had a wonderful family that brought much joy to her life and many dear friends who will miss her. A special thanks to her friends at Somerford for all the love and care, and her buddy buster.
