ERIC LORETZ

Born August 30, 1923 in Sacramento, passed away May 1, 2005 in Elk Grove at the age of 81. Eric lived his entire life around the Sacramento areaa and in 1936 moved to the home ranch in Franklin where he lived until his death. Eric served in the US army until his discharge in 1946, when he returned home to Franklin to continue his life long career as a cattle dealer and rancher as well as owner of Cattleman's Livestock Market in Galt. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Pat, son Frank of Elk Grove, daughter Patricia Loretz and son-in-law Ken Christman, grandson Phillip, granddaughter Claire Marie Christman, all of Maryland, brother-in-law Paul Franusich of Franklin, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Don and Laura Monseth of Herald and many nieces and nephews. Eric was preceded in death by his daughter Carol Loretz, mother and father Frank and Ida Loretz, sisters Edith Loretz and Ida Loretz Franusich. Family and friends are welcome to attend Visitation, Wednesday, May 4th from 4pm-8pm, Thursday, May 5th from 9am-8pm with a Recitation of the Rosary at 6pm at South East Lawn Mortuary, 9189 E. Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove, and a Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, May 6th at 2pm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 9961 Elk Grove-Florin Rd., Elk Grove. A private interment will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be sent to Sutter Hospice at 2800 L.
