FURRER, Betty Rose
Was born on August 13, 1922 in Cass County, North Dakota and departed this life February 4, 2014 at the age of 91. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Ernest Furrer. Sadly missed by children Beverly (Rick) Romero, Kathryn Stassi & Marian (Donald) Dilley. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Ron (Debby) Konkel, Shelley Ennis, Rick (Heidi) Konkel, Kristin (Art) Venegas & Kirt (Susie) Stassi, as well as 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her 6 siblings and a son-in-law. She retired from the State of California Department of Food & Agriculture after 35 years of dedicated service. She was a life long member of The Sacramento Helvetia Virien and a 50 year life member of Grand Chapter of California Order of Eastern Star, New Hope Chapter. She was an avid bridge player, playing several times a week. Her greatest love besides her family was her love of flowers and gardening. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at East Lawn Memorial Park, 4300 Folsom Blvd. on Wednesday, February 12 at 10 a.m. Remembrances may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association .
